close to cycle trails

Located right on NCN routes 2 & 3 and close to the South West Coast Path and The Saints Way Pilgrimage route.

We are inspired by simplicity and the historic Camino trails. Eden's Yard is a chilled out eco Backpackers Hostel; upcycled and rebooted to extend an exclusive-whole-place welcome to you, your friends and family in groups up to a maximum of six guests.

The compound is a converted stable yard on a quiet leafy lane near the Eden Project. Accommodation includes bunk beds in two dorm style rooms. The wash facilities are in a separate block with solar panels that support most of our hot water needs. We have an open air courtyard kitchen that all guests are welcome to use. Edens yard is a ten-minute drive from the coast and perfectly placed in mid Cornwall both for wider exploration or to be just a peaceful home from home.

The space is sufficient to enable social distancing between a maximum of two separate households; do let us know if you need to do this and we will be happy to discuss how we can support you.

Facilities include free WiFi and an indoor communal lounge. A simple DIY toasty breakfast is included and cooked food is available on request.

Located inland of St Austell Bay, Eden's Yard welcomes explorers on the many routes that pass through or nearby. The Southwest Coast Path at Carlyon Bay is just 2 miles away whilst the Ancient Saints Way Pilgrimage Trail running coast to coast from Padstow to Fowey, passes less than two miles away. National Cycle routes 2 and 3 converge close to the gate and it is a 60 mile ride to Lands End making it a perfect stop over on LEJOG or other long distance challenge. The St. Austell and Par mainline railway stations are both just over three miles away and both provide access to Newquay, Truro, Falmouth and onwards to Penzance.

Three stunning beaches run for 2 miles around St Austell Bay just a 15 minute cycle or 30 minute walk or five minute drive from Eden's Yard Backpackers.

Edens Yard can support a maximum of 2 cars. Please do not book if you cannot manage without additional vehicles. Thank you for your understanding.

Thank You and Happy Travels – however you get here.
