Eden's Yard Backpackers is a quirky ecohostel inspired by the historic Camino trails that span Europe to Santiago de Compostella..

Just a short leafy lane from the Eden Project, we welcome individuals and small groups throughout the summer. We have mixed bunkrooms in a former stable block and an outside communal area in the farriers’ space. This is a great place to break a journey, make new friends and create memories.

There is absolutely no parking nearby so we have fully embraced the car free Cornish experience.

Facilities include free WiFi and an indoor communal lounge. Self-caterers are always welcome in the courtyard kitchen. A simple DIY toasty breakfast is included and cooked food is available on request.

Located inland of St Austell Bay, Eden's Yard welcomes travelers on the many routes that pass through or nearby. The Southwest Coast Path at Carlyon Bay is just 2 miles away whilst the Ancient Saints Way Pilgrimage Trail running coast to coast from Padstow to Fowey, passes less than two miles away. National Cycle routes 2 and 3 converge close to the gate and it is a 60 mile ride to Lands End making it a perfect stop over on LEJOG or other long distance challenge. The St. Austell and Par mainline railway stations are both just over three miles away and both provide access to Newquay, Truro, Falmouth and onwards to Penzance.

Three stunning beaches run for 2 miles around St Austell Bay just a 15 minute cycle or, 30 minute walk from Eden's Yard Backpackers.

Many of our visitors travel via sustainable transport; we have no parking nearby and with your kind understanding have fully embraced the Car-Free Cornish Experience.

Thank You and Happy Travels – however you get here.
